Eric Blake Owens was born February 3 1971 in Danville Virginia. Eric Owens was an alumnus at Ferrum College where he played alongside with Billy Wagner from the New York Mets. He is currently in the Major League Baseball as a utility player. In 1992 this team went in to the regional playoffs for three times, they got drafted in the 4th round playing against the Cincinnati Reds. On June 6 1995, Owens made his MLB debut with the Cincinnati Reds.
In March of 1998 Owen was traded to the Florida Marlins by a player named, Jesus Martinez. Also on this year, Owens contract was purchased by the Milwaukee Brewers. After a year, Owen was offered a free agency, so on December of that same year he decided to sign a contract with the San Diego Padres. In 2001 Owen was traded again to the Florida Marlins and he retired in 2004 as an active player.
In 2006 the Anaheim Angels hired Owens as the hitting coach for the Single-A Midwest league. And in 2007 Owens returns to Cedar Rapids as a hitting coach for the Double-A Arkansas Travelers. Now Eric Owens is living in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Eric Owens played most of his career in the outfield. He was able to play all three outfield position and also play all 3 base positions. That will make him one of the most valuable players. Owen has not appeared in any of the MLB since 2003.
